Use What You Have Available
I’m not 100% sure what this raccoon’s plan is, but sometimes we have to improvise when we want to stay active. It’s not always obvious how to get started, though, so take a look at Mark Lauren’s bodyweight training. The sales pitch is a little aggressive, but Lauren’s You Are Your Own Gym (YAYOG) book — also available as a smartphone app with exercise tracking and video demonstrations — provides a fantastic resource for ways to exercise outside the gym. YAYOG emphasizes using one’s own body or simple items that can be found at home (or even in a hotel room) to get a quick and convenient workout while developing remarkable bodyweight strength skills through guided progressions.
